Pentair Pentek RFC Series Cartridges are constructed with a 70-micron porous polyethylene outer shell and durable polypropylene endcaps. The unique radial flow design offers the benefits of granular activated carbon (GAC) filtration, such as low pressure drop, while significantly reducing the release of carbon fines commonly associated with GAC-style cartridges. Pentek RFC Series Cartridges are available in a wide variety of sizes and are ideal for point-of-entry (POE) and other high flow rate applications.

The Pentair Pentek RFC-20BB Big Blue Carbon Water Filter is a 20-inch, whole-house heavy-duty radial flow carbon replacement cartridge with granular activated carbon (GAC) filter, measuring 20" x 4.5" with a 25-micron rating. The 2-3⁄4" outer diameter cartridges have a polypropylene core, and the 4-1⁄2" outer diameter cartridges incorporate a spun polypropylene core. Sandwiched between the outer shell and the core is a bed of granular activated carbon (GAC).

The Pentair Pentek RFFE20-BB Big Blue Water Filter is a 20-inch, whole-house radial flow iron reduction replacement cartridge, measuring 20" x 4.5" and featuring a white color. It greatly improves taste by filtering up to 3 PPM of dissolved iron and eliminates metallic taste. It prevents rust stains on sinks, toilets, and plumbing fixtures, and prevents appliance damage. The filter works great for well water and fits all 20" Big Blue Housing, replacing any 4.5" x 20" iron reducing filter.
