Pentair Pentek CRFC-BB Big Blue Carbon Water Filter, Whole House Chloramine Reduction
The Pentek CRFC-BB filter is specifically designed with a bed of granular activated carbon (GAC) between the outer shell and the core to significantly reduce chloramine taste and odor. The unique radial flow design of this filter offers the benefits of GAC filtration, such as low pressure drop, while also significantly reducing the release of carbon fines commonly associated with GAC style cartridges. This radial flow design significantly enlarges the pre and post filtration area of the cartridge, resulting in greater life versus standard up flow GAC cartridges.
The Pentek CRFC-BB filter is capable of REDUCING SEDIMENT AND CHLORINE taste & odor, providing great tasting, clearer water. It FITS ALL 10" Big Blue Housing and can replace any 10" x 4.5" carbon filter. Compared to granular carbon, this filter offers SUPERIOR CHLORAMINE AND CHLORINE REDUCTION, thanks to its UNIQUE DESIGN that REDUCES CARBON FINES in the filtered water, a common issue with other granulated canisters.
With a 100,000 GALLON CAPACITY, the Pentek CRFC-BB filter should be replaced every year or when you notice a drop in water pressure or water quality.
