Manufactured using a process that yields a cartridge with a nominal 5-micron filtration rating and high dirt-holding capacity, Pentair Pentek EP Series Carbon Block Cartridges are designed to provide efficient and effective water filtration. The high porosity design of these cartridges helps prevent premature plugging, maximizing the utilization of the carbon while maintaining a low pressure drop. Uniquely formulated polyolefin bilaminate pre-filters protect the cartridges, significantly increasing their useful life by trapping sediment that typically plugs carbon block cartridges.

Offering greater chlorine taste and odor reduction than competitive 10-micron carbon blocks, the EP Series Cartridges are an ideal choice for a wide range of residential, food service, commercial, and industrial applications. These cartridges are designed to fit all 10-inch Big Blue housings or other 10-inch heavy-duty housings, and can replace any 10-inch by 4.5-inch carbon filter cartridge.
